Automated Sampling Techniques of Whiskey Samples
The flavor profiles of whiskey are composed of a variety of compounds. Often, the flavors can be discerned by smelling the alcohol itself. However in order to determine the subtleties of the liquor flavor or to discern an off essence, a more sensitive analysis needs to be done. The examination of spirits can be done in a number of ways; this investigation will compare static headspace, Solid Phase Micro Extraction and Large Volume Injection in order to determine how the assorted techniques reveal the volatile flavor components of whiskey.
