Over the past several years, due to improvements in column technology, EPA Methods such as 8260 that used to be performed in 20 to 30 minutes can now be performed in about 10 minutes without sacrificing resolution.

 

As a result of ten minute GC analytical runs, the purge and trap cycle time has now become the limiting factor to sample throughput. The key to any of EST’s high throughput configurations is that NONE of the traditional parameters are altered from the recommended or stipulated parameters in EPA methodologies.
